Fall Time

Claire has been making her way through all of her first fall holidays! First there was Halloween... She had a blast dressing up as a cowgirl for Halloween and spending the evening with Grammy MacCartney passing out candy to all of the neighborhood children. She had her whole outfit right down to the cowgirl hat (thanks Mrs. Jessica).

Then she experienced Thanksgiving and all of its incredible foods. She spent the morning with Grammy and Uncle Matt tasting cranberry muffins for the first time. Then she went to Granma and Grandaddy's house in Smithfield. Uncle Chris, Mrs. Shelby, Alaina and Uncle Jon, Aunt Jesse and Morgan were all there. Grandaddy fixed special mashed potatoes for Claire and Morgan and they loved eating along with everyone else.

The day after Thanksgiving, Claire spent the day with the girls shopping in Williamsburg. We spent the rest of the weekend in Williamsburg with the whole Goodrich family. She walked through Colonial Williamsburg with Grandaddy and spent time with cousin, Morgan, exploring and getting into everything. One of her favorite things about the weekend was taking a bath in the big bathtub. She is so used to her little blue tub that we use in the kitchen sink. She loved splashing and singing in all of the water - we made quite a mess - but it was totally worth it.

We also had some wonderful pictures taken of the family. Our incredibly talented friend, Ryan Saul, had us over to his house and took the best pictures we have yet of our family. Claire was hamming it up for the camera - which none of us minded in the least. Jessica, Ryan's wife, was great at getting Claire to look in all directions and smile and totally showcased her amazing ability to connect with babies and kids. I've posted just one of the hundreds that he took!

Christmas is just a few short weeks away. Mike, Claire and I can't wait to spend more time with our friends and families. Till next time...
