Today was a sign that spring is on its way! This spring should prove to be very exciting for us because... its official! We have sold our house! Well... technically the closing isn't until June 9th, but everything seems to be headed in the right direction. So we have been hunting for OUR perfect house. Mike and I spent just about all day on Saturday with our realtor checking out houses in Western Branch and Northern Suffolk. We found a couple that we really liked, but nothing that screamed out 'HOME' to us. Our search continues...
It many ways our impending move is sad for us. This is our first house and where we built our little family. When we moved in together here before our wedding I'm not really sure we thought we would be here for very long. But then came the wedding... and a little bit later we brought the cutest little white furry puppy to his new home here... and the seasons changed and we planted gardens and painted and partied and just loved our little house... there was so much here to offer us at that time in our lives. And then along came our beautiful Claire-bear (CB). And well... things just changed (I'm sure all parents know what I'm talking about). So as many memories (happy and sad) as we have created in this little yellow house we are excited about the adventure of a new one and new memories. Now if we could just find that new house...

ReplyDeleteI agree with Dana. It is kinda sad. I feel the same way. We are looking to move, since in the fall I think my step daughter is going to move in with us. I am happy you will be moving closer to me., Maybe i will get to see you more than every ten years.
