Should we pack her?

Its been a while... but we've been busy getting ready for the big move. On Monday, June 8th, the MacCartney family will be leaving our little yellow house in Norfolk for our new home in Western Branch. Moving is certainly not an easy thing. You never know how much stuff you accumulate over 5 years... but it begins to add up pretty quickly. We've stuffed one POD and are quickly working on our second (and hopefully our last).

Claire is rolling with the changes so wonderfully. Now that she is walking she is EVERYWHERE! Sometimes she even imitates me packing (I wish she could help for real!). Its so cute to watch her toddle along like a 'real' big girl! We've had two little falls over the past week that scraped up her face a little... it broke my heart every time I saw those little scabs on her forehead and nose. But as her Grandaddy said, 'It certainly won't be the last time'.

Claire has also added some new words to her vocabulary. She can now say 'Gma' (Grandma) and 'Mwulk' (Milk). Sometimes she surprises us completely by repeating exactly what we say (it never occured to Mike and I that we would have to start censoring our words so early - ahh!).

Aunt Pati is leaving with us at the moment (which Claire LOVES!). Its great to have an extra set of hands around to help out while we're packin' up. Pati will also be moving into our new house with us which means that maybe, just maybe, I may be able to go the grocery store by myself.

I'll post more pictures of the new house later, but hopefully you will come by and see it in person soon! Until next time...
